About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Megan Ward and I'm using this website to display my goals for my future life and how I am going to obtain those goals.

I am a senior attending Auburn University in Auburn, AL. I am studying Communication with a minor in Non-Profit. On campus I am involved with a Greek Sorority and within the sorority I sit on the Philanthropy Committee. On this committee we help coordinate and host our two philanthropy events each school year - Kappa Kappacino and Kappa Kookout. As well, I volunteer with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) which has multiple sectors. With RIF we are able to be hands on, as well as behind the scenes. Weekly we read to children ranging in ages of 3-6 at Ridgecrest. As well we hold book drives and supply underprivileged children with books. In addition to my greek affiliation, my freshman year I was on the Sponsorships committee for Auburn University Dance Marathon (AUDM). On this committee we were responsible for gathering donations in either the form of money or gift items.

In my spare time, I am a Florida girl through and through. I love being at the beach, rather it's on the water, watching a sunrise, or just sitting in the sand with a good book. Additionally, I like to volunteer my time with local charities. My senior year of high school I raised $14,000 for local breast cancer charities through hosting the 8th Annual Dance for a Cure.
